THINGS TO DO

Monday, August 1

• Crafts Center: Fall 2022 crafts class registration opens today at 9 a.m. for NC State students only. Explore classes in clay, fibers, glass, jewelry and metals, lapidary, mixed media, new media, photography, and wood. Registration opens to NC State faculty, staff, and the public on Monday, Aug. 8 at 9 a.m.

Tuesday, August 2 through Saturday, August 6

• Gregg Museum of Art & Design: Visit your museum! Four exhibitions are now open (though the Frank Lee Craig exhibition closes on August 20). Galleries are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. And don’t forget about the beautiful outdoor areas, including the pollinator garden (with a new sculpture in place!) and the whirligig. Wouldn’t the Gregg be a nice destination for a healthy midday walk?

CHECK. IT. OUT.

Shana has been part of the NC State LIVE series on several occasions and will return in May 2023 for a work-in-progress showing of a new commission. Those who have been at NC State for more than a few years will recall that she was a member of the Dept. of Music staff before her time as a cellist and vocalist with Cirque du Soleil.
