• University Theatre: UT hosts Sips and Scripts. Playwright sign-up begins at 5 p.m., readings begin at 6 p.m. Kennedy-McIlwee Studio Theatre.

• Gregg Museum of Art & Design: Three exhibitions are open. Leading by Design celebrates the 75th anniversary of the NC State College of Design. Selections from the Collections features a sampling of the many different kinds of pieces in the Gregg collection. The Art of John Mark Hall is an exhibition of photographs drawn from some of Hall’s favorite works. Galleries are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• The campus community centers will host a screening of Obi Mbu (The Primordial House), followed by a discussion with artists Mikael Owunna and Marquita Sams. Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 4:30 p.m. in Talley Coastal Ballroom.
• Black Transfigurations: Multimedia artist and engineer Mikael Owunna will present works from his artistic practice that transfigure Black bodies into vessels of eternal life. Owunna’s artistic practice explores the intersections of visual media with engineering, optics, Blackness and African cosmologies. Thursday, Feb. 8 at 1:30 p.m., Hunt Library.
• The Office of Global Engagement will host a Lunar New Year Celebration. Celebrate this popular Asian holiday with music, food and cultural activities. Thursday, Feb. 9, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Talley Piedmont/Mountains Ballroom.
• The LGBTQ Pride Center and the Women’s Center will host Miracles in Motion, a movement workshop with Marquita Sams. See the details of this student-only event. Thursday, Feb. 9 at 3:30 in Carmichael Dance Studio.
• Wellness Day is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 13. There will be no classes. Available activities for that day include a spoken word workshop in Thompson Hall and a yoga class at the Gregg Museum.
