In conjunction with NC State’s Common Reading Program book $2.00 a Day, 100 tickets to University Theatre’s production of In The Blood by Suzan-Lori Parks are available free to NC State students. Print or bring the electronic ticket to Thompson Hall on the day of show, starting at 6:30 p.m., where it will be exchanged for the actual show ticket. Hester and her five children are homeless and desperate for a way off the street. Although Hester‘s family is surrounded by seemingly helpful people, they are unable to climb from under the poverty and neglect that society has heaped upon them. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Suzan-Lori Parks, this reenvisioning of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter engages the audience in questions of societal and personal responsibility
