• University Theatre: Strictly Speaking series. Anna and Paul Nugent, co-artistic directors of AboutFACE Theatre Company in Dublin, Ireland. 6pm.

Wednesday, November 18

• EXAMS BEGIN

• Gregg Museum: Galleries open 10am-5pm. Free timed ticket required.

• University Theatre: How to Theatre series. Advanced theatre production techniques. Join Dave Jensen and Mike White to learn how to use 3D printers, 3D scanners and water jet cutters to create theatre pieces. 4pm.

• NC State LIVE: A conversation between collaborators Regina Carter and Lakecia Benjamin. Two leading jazz musicians talk about (and play) some of Lakecia’s latest project Pursuance, which explores the music of Alice and John Coltrane. This free event will be moderated by NC State LIVE artist-in-residence Shana TuckerRegistration required (noon deadline). 5:30pm.

• University Theatre: Strictly Speaking series. Meet Ryan Moller, a UNC School of the Arts MFA grad and an award-winning New York-based costume designer. 6pm.

• Crafts Center: Our annual Crafts Fair can’t happen in 2020, but the Crafts Center has created a resource page with contact information for past vendors who have other ways to sell their work. Support your local craftspeople!

• There are two crafts classes still to come in fall semester that (might) have space left. Take a look!• Coming soon: The installation is underway for Daniel Johnson – A Thousand Throws at the Gregg Museum. You can visit the Gregg (free timed ticket required) to watch (and interrupt) the artist as he proceeds with the project, and gain insight into his thinking and decision-making process as the work develops. A wire-lattice structure resembling a two-story farmhouse is already taking shape in the Gregg’s largest gallery.

• Three extraordinary performances by NC State arts students have premiered in the last week. All are available online:
