Carol joined the Crafts Center as the new director in March 2017 but she is not new to NC State. She received her MA from the College of Design and eventually taught there as the Associate Professor of the Practice, where she lead multi-disciplinary professional practices courses in design. Carol has an extensive background as an entrepreneur and retail product designer, having owned her own business for over 20 years. She is a practicing artist, calligrapher and mixed media painter. Jo Ellen Westmoreland Fiber arts, art on paper, photography, jewelry, glass, lapidary, exhibitions, outreach activities, Crafts Fair, website. Jo Ellen believes that finding creativity can improve your quality of life. It is something she knows to be true, having taught clay classes at the Crafts Center for over a decade. Jo Ellen oversees the glass, lapidary, jewelry, fibers and art-on-paper studios and manages the Center’s front desk.Her devotion to learning over the years has helped her nurture many wonderful friendships and memories both as a teacher and crafts lover. With pottery and needlework at the top of the list, Jo Ellen has a variety of skills to share with NC State students and her local community of over 35 years. |

Jennifer Siegel Jennifer’s contagious enthusiasm for “everything clay” started in 2003 when she began studyingc eramics at Anderson University in South Carolina.
