The 2022 Student Art Sale

World Art Day is celebrated on April 15, chosen in honor of the birth date of Leonardo da Vinci – one of the greatest artists who ever lived – whose genius crossed the boundaries of art, engineering, science and architecture. In 2022, World Art Day coincides with the annual Student Art Sale, an event that attracts student artists from across the diverse collection of academic disciplines that make up NC State University.

The NC State Student Art Sale goes live at noon on Friday, April 15. The sale will be virtual, meaning that art buyers can shop from anywhere, and the NC State student artists can share a broader selection of their work than would be possible at an in-person sale. A link to the sale will be posted at go.ncsu.edu/studentart.

Organized by the outreach and engagement office of Arts NC State, the event features original artwork created by full-time NC State students, regardless of major. All proceeds go directly to the student artists.

In addition to the opportunity to sell their work, all student artists who submit work are eligible for cash awards in categories for 2D, 3D, and computer-rendered art or photography.

The deadline for students to enter their artwork in the 2022 sale is Friday, April 1. All details are available on the Student Art Sale webpage.
