Ticket Central Fast Facts
Mission
Ticket Central is committed to providing exceptional customer service to its customers, helpful sales and marketing information to its ticketing clientele, and a positive work environment for its staff of student employees. Ticket Central is committed to conducting its business transactions professionally and accurately.
History
Ticket Central was created in the spring of 1994. Prior to establishing a centralized box office, there were two box offices for the arts at NC State, one for performances in (then) Thompson Theatre and the other for events in Stewart Theatre. Supported by grant funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, campus arts units worked collectively to open a unified box office, Ticket Central, which included the purchase of the first computerized ticketing system for the arts.
People
Two professional staff; a team of 6-8 student representatives.
