Gregg Museum of Art & Design: Free screening of The Adventures of Prince Achmed, a 1926 German animated fairy tale that is the oldest surviving animated feature film in the world. 6 p.m.

Gregg Museum of Art & Design: Staff-guided tour of Selections from the Collections, a recently installed exhibition curated entirely from the museum’s permanent collections and presented in the historic chancellor’s residence. 3 p.m.

The Crafts Center: Fall crafts class registration opens for NC State students.

The Crafts Center: Last day for Jillian Sortore’s Plume exhibition.
Gregg Museum of Art & Design: Morning yoga in the main lobby, a free class presented in partnership with Hillsborough Street neighbors, the Alexander Family YMCA. 10 a.m.

The Crafts Center: Fall crafts class registration opens for faculty, staff and the community.

Gregg Museum of Art & Design: Free screening of To Be or Not To Be (1942), an American comedy film that follows a troupe of actors in Nazi-occupied Warsaw who use disguises and acting skills to fool the occupying troops. 6 p.m.
Monday, August 7
University Theatre: UT hosts Sips and Scripts. Playwright sign-up begins at 5 p.m., readings begin at 6 p.m. Kennedy-McIlwee Studio Theatre.

NC State LIVE: Subscriptions go on sale for the 2023-24 season. Subscriptions will be available with no ticketing fees through Sunday, August 27.
Thursday, August 17
Gregg Museum of Art & Design: Wolfpack Welcome Week tour of current exhibitions. Join education staff at the Gregg Museum for a tour of current exhibitions, including This is Not: Aldwyth in Retrospect and the museum’s recent installation of permanent collection objects. 3 p.m.
Friday, August 18
NC State LIVE: Tickets for the August 25 show by The Second City go on sale to NC State students.
Department of Performing Arts and Technology: Jazz ensembles audition clinic and jam session. An opportunity for any student interested in jazz to bring their instrument and gain a better understanding of what the audition process is like. Price Music Center, Room 101. 4:30 p.m.
