• Photography by Gregg Museum director Roger Manley is featured in a new exhibition at the Georgia Museum of Art at the University of Georgia. Reckonings and Reconstructions: Southern Photography from the Do Good Fund will be open through Jan. 8, 2023.

• The Gregg Museum is accepting applications for spring internships. Deadline: 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31.

• State of Sound Stories: NC State University Libraries will host a live podcast recording at the Corner, featuring NC State alum and Toss group member Natalie King. Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 12 to 1 p.m.

• Art Party: The Black Artists Coalition is creating a community art piece that will be displayed in the GLBT Center when complete. GLBT Center Lounge in Talley Student Union (Suite 5230). Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 12 to 2 p.m.

• The Wilson College of Textiles is hosting a community weaving project at the Corner. Professors from the college will lead participants in creating a large community piece of art made from repurposed fabrics. Thursday, Oct 27, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Author Talk: Reading, talk and Q&A with award-winning historian Tiya Miles, a MacArthur Fellow, Harvard professor of history, and National Book Award winner for the nonfiction book, All That She Carried.  Hunt Library. Register on Eventbrite. Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m.

• Red and White Week, NC State’s yearly homecoming celebration, begins on Sunday, Oct. 30.

• Walter Magazine: 15+ Things to Do in November 2022 In and Around Raleigh. The Egyptian Tent exhibition at the Gregg Museum is featured.

• Technician: Raleigh Little Theatre presents Kate Hamill’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’ adaptation. Technician writer Stella Garrabrant reviews RLT’s recent production that included familiar faces from University Theatre productions.

• Technician: New band Persimmon seeks to expand and diversify Raleigh punk scene. Technician assistant culture editor Jameson Wolf introduces a new Raleigh band that includes NC State students.
