The 2023 Student Art Sale

A beloved NC State spring tradition is the Student Art Sale. And while the tradition continued (virtually) during the pandemic years, the annual sale returns to an in-person event for the first time since 2019 on Friday, April 21, taking place in the third-floor lobby of Talley Student Union, 3 to 6 p.m. A virtual sale will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The sale attracts student artists from across the diverse collection of academic disciplines that make up NC State University. Organized by the outreach and engagement office of Arts NC State, the event features original artwork created by full-time NC State students, regardless of major. All proceeds go directly to the student artists.

In addition to the opportunity to sell their work, all student artists who submit work are eligible for cash awards in categories for 2D, 3D, and computer-rendered art or photography.

The Student Art Sale is open to both campus and community art buyers. The student artists will sell their work individually, accepting payment by credit card or Venmo.

Art buyers (near and far) who have supported NC State student artists for the past three years will have the opportunity to participate in the virtual sale beginning at 6:30 p.m. on April 21. A link to the virtual sale will be posted at go.ncsu.edu/studentart.
