Arts NC State’s programs and partners offer dance, music, theater, and crafts classes both for academic credit and for artistic enrichment (non-credit). Our programs & partners offer minors in dance, music, and theatre.
Dance courses
The Dance Program offers three different types of dance classes:
- For-credit dance courses for students of all majors
- Student dance companies that are open by audition only (and for which students receive credit)
- Non-credit master dance classes related to a special type of dance

Arts Forum course
The Arts Forum (AVS 100) is a class for students who live in the Arts Village. It’s an experiential course that gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the cultural life of NC State and the surrounding community. The course is worth one credit hour.

If you need an outlet for creativity and wish to take a crafts course just for fun, The Crafts Center offers non-credit, extracurricular courses and workshops. Topics include:
